From Frustration to Innovation
It was a typical registration period at NDU. Students, myself included, were frantically refreshing web pages, scribbling course codes on paper, and manually checking for time conflicts. The system was confusing. Finding the right course for the right time was a challenge.
After missing out on a crucial course due to a scheduling conflict I didn't catch, I thought: "There has to be a better way." As a developer, I knew I could build something that would make this process smoother—not just for me, but for every NDU student struggling with the same problem.
That frustration sparked an idea. What if there was a platform that could visualize schedules in real-time, detect conflicts automatically, and make course planning as simple as search and display? What if registration could actually be... enjoyable?
ORESS was born from that vision. Built with modern technologies and designed from a student's perspective, it transforms the chaotic registration process into a streamlined, intuitive experience. This isn't just a project — it's a solution to a problem I lived through.
