By accessing and using ORESS (Online Registration and Enrollment Scheduling System), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

ORESS is an academic scheduling platform designed for Notre Dame University - Louaize (NDU) students. The service provides:

• Automated course schedule generation and optimization
• Personalized scheduling based on preferences and constraints
• Course information and availability viewing
• Schedule management and export features

3. Eligibility

To use ORESS, you must:

• Be a currently enrolled student at Notre Dame University - Louaize
• Have a valid NDU email address (@ndu.edu.lb)
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

4. User Account

4.1 Account Creation

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

4.2 Account Security

You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. ORESS will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this section.

5. Acceptable Use

When using ORESS, you agree NOT to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the service
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated systems or bots to access the service
• Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the scheduling algorithms
• Submit false or misleading information

6. Intellectual Property

The ORESS platform, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by the development team and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the service
• Use ORESS branding without written permission
• Create derivative works based on the service

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of ORESS, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance and updates
• Technical issues or server problems
• Force majeure events

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime in advance.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

ORESS is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The service will meet your specific requirements
• Generated schedules will be error-free or optimal in all cases
• Course availability information is always accurate
• The service will be uninterrupted or secure

Important: Always verify your final course registration through official NDU channels.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall ORESS, its developers, or NDU be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or academic opportunities
• Scheduling conflicts or registration issues
• Any damages resulting from reliance on the service

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ORESS and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe:

• Violates these Terms of Service
• Is harmful to other users or the service
• Is fraudulent or illegal

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting a notice on the service. Your continued use of ORESS after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Lebanon. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Lebanon.
